Common
questions.
Everything you’re likely to want to know before getting in touch. If something isn’t covered here, just ask →
How much does it cost?
It depends on the scope and duration of the engagement. We don't publish day rates because a two-day audit has very different economics to a three-month embedding. After the free discovery call, we'll send you a clear, written proposal with a fixed price — no surprises.
Do I need a consultant or a full-time QA hire?
Consultants are better for finite problems: building a framework, running an audit, fixing something broken. Hires are better for ongoing, sustained work. We can help you figure out which one fits — or whether a short consulting engagement followed by a hire makes more sense.
What if I'm not sure which service is right for me?
Most clients come to us without a clear brief — just a sense that something isn't right. That's exactly what the free call is for. Describe your situation and we'll tell you what we think, honestly, even if the answer is that you don't need us right now.
How long does a typical engagement last?
A QA Strategy audit is typically two to four weeks. Tooling & Automation engagements run four to twelve weeks depending on scope. Embedded QA and the Ongoing QA Service are flexible by design — you can start with a sprint and scale from there.
Do you work remotely?
Yes — fully remote, on-site, or hybrid. We're based in Liverpool but work across the UK and remotely with international teams. The Embedded QA service is explicitly flexible on location.
What happens after the engagement ends?
Everything we build is yours, fully documented and handed over. We don't create dependencies — the goal is always to leave your team more capable than when we arrived. Optional ongoing support is available through the Ongoing QA Service.
Do you sign NDAs?
Yes. We're happy to sign NDAs before a discovery call if you'd prefer. Just let us know when you get in touch.
We already have a QA team. Can you still help?
Often, yes. Embedded QA and QA Strategy are both commonly used by teams that have internal QA capability but need senior input, a fresh perspective, or specialist skills they don't have in-house.
